How to Revise with P4 Maths Exam Papers

  1. Check the tested topics. Compare the paper with your child’s school assessment instructions.
  2. Attempt the questions independently. Allow approximately 45 minutes for a complete paper.
  3. Show clear working. Write calculations, draw models where helpful and include units.
  4. Review the solutions together. Check the method as well as the final answer.
  5. Identify recurring mistakes. Look for calculation errors, misunderstood concepts or missed information.
  6. Redo difficult questions. Ask your child to try them again without looking at the answers.

If a complete paper feels too challenging, begin with a few questions on familiar topics. Build towards timed practice as your child becomes more confident.
